www.pacificpoker.com – For most poker players, there will not be many instances where they want to avoid getting involved in a hand with a particular player, but there are some circumstances in which this might be prudent.
One such circumstance might be if there are three players left in a tournament, and you have a big chip lead. You can sit back and play tight, but you know the blinds will force the other two players to act sooner or later.

When one of them does, it is like to end up being down to heads up. It depends upon the individual player type of course, and some will be more keen to apply pressure in this situation, but for me, the best way is to allow the pressure of the blinds to do the work for you.
Other situations where you may not be keen to get involved include, when a player has been very aggressive and/or shortstacked, and you know that if you limp in, you will be raised. In this instance, you will be better off folding more marginal hands quickly I feel. Some players might even be more inclined to avoid a player that seems to be getting lucky, and although I can understand that sentiment, I don’t think I would ever feel concerned about playing a pot with someone simply beacuse they have been lucky in previous ones. The most common reason for people avoiding confrontation in hands though, is because the bubble position is fast approaching, and nobody wants to be the last player out before the money places.

At www.pacificpoker.com, there is a 100% bonus offered up to an amount of £200. This is a reasonable upper limit and percentage amount, and equates to somewhere around the industry average. The bonus is released as an immediate 25% payment, followed by the other 75% after enough points have been earned.

$750,000 worth of gauranteed tournaments are held at pacificpoker.com each month which is good to see, as many players enjoy this type of tournament including myself. There is a poker forum accesible from the homepage of Pacific Poker which has a great wealth of information relating to the game and should help new players find their way around.
I think in terms of the visual aspect of playing here, the table and avatar colour schemes and details are engaging enough, although there is a slightly dated feel to the graphics I feel.
There are several special tournaments and promotions ongoing at www.pacificpoker.com which are updated regularly, and large gauranteed tournaments can be found too, on a regular basis. For each new friend you refer to Pacific Poker, you will receive a $50 payment, and also, your friend will receive $25. This is a generous offer and one which can help with additional funds for players who have friends or family who enjoy playing the game. 24 hour support is available via email onsite which serves it’s purpose, although I would like to see more outlets of support onsite. Overall though, a pretty good site to play poker at.
